Since its early years, Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School (East High) has been highly regarded for its cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic diversity with a student body of 2000 that celebrates its differences. East works to meet the needs of this diverse population through a wide variety of course offerings and alternative programs. Reflecting our student body, we have faculty members from many countries and ethnic backgrounds. We are united, however, in our desire to offer the best education in the state.

The mission of Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School is to provide an environment where students will learn and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and ethics necessary to become successful members of society.
