Dimond School Dimond High School Beliefs

    • Learning is the chief priority for the school.
    • All students can learn.
    • Students learn best when they are actively engaged and apply learning to meaningful contexts.
    • Students learn in different ways, so we provide  a variety of instructional approaches to support learning.
    • Positive relationships and mutual respect enhance self-esteem.

In April 1999, Anchorage voters approved the construction of a new building for Dimond. The new Dimond High School opened its doors to students in the Fall of 2003. Today, Dimond is home to approximately 1600 students and over 130 faculty and staff.

Since 1967, thousands of young people have called Dimond home. If you are one of them, and you would like to reconnect with former classmates, please contact the Dimond Alumni Foundation.
