Degree Tracks offer different types of degrees based on the length of study.  The AMCS program assists students in launching their college careers.  Students will make progress toward their degree while attending the AMCS program, but the majority of students will not earn enough credits to qualify for the degree by the time they complete high school.  Students are encouraged to complete their degrees after high school graduation. 

• :   A two-year degree in general studies which builds a foundation for academic and career success. The degree is best suited for transfer to a four-year college for many majors or for students that are undecided about a transfer or major. (60+ credits)

• : A two-year degree for students planning to enter the workforce that includes occupation-specific technical coursework. (60+ credits)   

• : A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree are both four-year degrees that share general education requirements. Common courses are standardized and may include English, writing, mathematics, natural science, and social science, and history. 

A Bachelor of Science program differs from a BA in several ways. The core and upper division coursework of a B.S. program provide a deeper understanding of a chosen discipline, such as science, technology, or engineering. This means that, beyond general education, students who want to earn a B.S. should understand their program will involve specialized and often rigorous courses with a combination of science, math, technology, and engineering topics.  (120+ credits)
