    Canvas has a 4 minute video that will walk you through the steps of creating an account in the Canvas app and how to use Canvas to check grades, look at assignments, and see the calendar.

     

    **YOU WILL NEED A PAIRING CODE**

    The video goes through two scenarios. In the first, the middle school student logs into their Canvas account and creates a pairing code to give to the parent. In the second, the teacher has given the parent a pairing code. Any of your child's teachers can send you a pairing code. One code works with all classes.

     

  • What does it mean to be a parent observer?

    A parent observer account allows you to see your child's progress in their online learning classes in Canvas. Parents can monitor grades/feedback and assignments both completed and upcoming.

     

     

  • Why be a parent observer in Canvas?

    Checking Canvas as a parent observer is similar to using Parent Connect to see how your child is doing.
