Conrado Gaerlan

Bartlett High School Building Plant Operator Conrado Gaerlan is a model of hard work and quiet professionalism. He is always willing to help and get things done. Gaerlan signed on recently to cover the hours of a night crew supervisor vacancy at Bartlett on top of his normal workload. Bartlett High School Principal Sean Prince said  he would estimate Gaerlan was spending all day and most of the night maintaining the operations at Bartlett. “He is the hardest working BPO I have ever seen,” Prince said. “He is friendly, polite, and breaks a sweat everyday, keeping a 50-year-old school running.”

Bartlett Counselor Tad Wellman  agrees.

“Conrado Gaerlan is more than our school’s BPO, he is a living example for our students of what it takes to be successful both in life and in work,” said Wellman.  “Mr. Conrado meets every day and every task, no matter the difficulty, with a warmth and willingness to solve the problems at hand.  He does this without prompting, and with diligence and direction, directly supporting our student body and staff through his tireless efforts.”

Bartlett English Department Co-chair Rebecca Vano said Gaerlan contributes to the school’s positive culture. “Conrado is irreplaceable, and his support of staff, students, and anyone in need of assistance in our building makes our school a better place.”
