Play to Learn Playgroups

Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê Preschool is sponsoring Play to Learn Playgroups for children 4 to 5-years old, not yet in kindergarten, and their families. Playgroups occur for an hour and a half, twice a week, for one month. Playgroups are hosted by an early childhood educator and family coordinator.

P2L staff is providing outdoor activities, and will be available to foster connections between children in attendance. 

No registration required; the whole family is welcome!

Kindergarten Readiness Summer Playgroup

The Play to Learn Playgroup program is sponsoring a FREE Kindergarten Readiness Program for the month of June!  

Who is it for? 

This program is for families with children who are entering Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.

What is it?

A parent/caregiver accompanies their child to a preschool classroom equipped with a Preschool Teacher, a Kindergarten Teacher, and a Family Education Specialist. The parent/caregiver enjoys a chance to connect with other caregivers while learning about child development all while their child is learning and playing with two early education specialists. Siblings are welcome!

When is it?

Playgroups will be held every Tuesday and Thursday of June from 

9:00 am-11:00 am at Klatt Elementary School.

Dates of the program:

6/4, 6/6, 6/11, 6/13, 6/18, 6/20, 6/25, 6/27.

POP-UP PLAYGROUPS 

If you would like to host Pop-Up Playgroups at your location, let us bring the program to you! This can be a single event or regularly occurring playgroups depending on the needs of your group or program. P2L PLAYGROUP MISSION STATEMENT

Partner with families to support their child's successful transition to school by exposing children to resources and inclusive practices. We are committed to creating a community of connection between the home and the school family.

Play to Learn Playgroups (P2L)

Play to Learn Playgroups bring together children (ages 4 to 5, not yet in kindergarten), their caregivers, an early childhood teacher, and a community resource specialist. Caregivers are required to stay with their child at all times while participating in the P2L Playgroup program. Siblings are welcome to join! These weekly playgroups build a community for family support and work on positive classroom behaviors. Adult caregivers/parents have a chance to connect with other parents who have children the same age while also learning about local resources, information, and ideas for age-appropriate activities to practice at home with the resource specialist. This is a program sponsored by the Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê.

How can my family participate?

• Each cohort is a 4-week commitment where families are expected to attend an hour and a half, twice a week.

• Educational free play
