• About the CIT program

CIT is an integral part of the Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê's Title I Program which provides services throughout the district to homeless children and youth. Our goal is to promote school stability and success for homeless students. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, which was reauthorized as part of the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, guides our decisions in determining eligibility and the services we provide.

  • CIT in the Anchorage Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê

CIT collaborates with community agencies to provide services to our families. We provide referrals to the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, NeighborWorks Alaska and Cook Inlet Housing Authority for housing assistance. Catholic Social Services, Covenant House Alaska and the Salvation Army receive referrals from CIT and frequently refers families to CIT.
