The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department partners with industry professionals in each program offered to ensure classroom instruction and student growth meet industry standards. These partnerships allow us to build a smooth transition for students to take the next step towards their careers.

Advisories

  • Ê®·ÖÁùºÏ²Ê CTE Advisories are made up of representatives from the professional community, post-secondary education, the state of Alaska and school district employees. The purpose of advisories is to advise, assist and advocate for CTE programs and the implementation of CTE goals and initiatives. There are three tiers of advisories in the CTE department: 

    The  District Advisory Council focuses on district-wide initiatives affecting all CTE programs, ensuring that what is offered reflects the economy of Alaska. 

    Business & Industry Advisory Committees focus on specific programs offered district-wide, ensuring each program reflects industry standards.
